Paper Mate Ink Joy Pens

Share
Have you seen the new Ink Joy pens from Paper Mate?  You might even discover they are your new favorite pen. They are so great you will have to keep them under lock and key because they are sure to be stolen by your coworkers or even (as in my case) your family.  My 9 year old daughter informed me that she liked the purple so much that she took it too school.  At least she admitted to taking it.

The "World’s Most Stolen Pen" has a revolutionary new ink system which features the smoothness of a gel pen with the fast-dry of a ball point pen.

Be sure to head over over to Paper Mate's Facebook page to enter their sweepstakes.  You could win $2500 or even your own Ink Joy pen.  You can also get $1.50 coupon to buy your own Ink Joy pens.  Be warned though they are so good they just might be stolen.

I  received the Ink Joy pens to try as well as a safe to keep them in.  No other compensation was given.  All opinions are my own.

Time for Tea Tuesday~Just Ducky

Share

I saw this Tea infuser a few weeks ago and knew right away we had to get it for my daughter.  She is turning nine next month and my mom gave her this as an early birthday present.  Needless to say she loves it and has made at least one cup of tea in it a day since she got it. We found this one at Cracker Barrel but the Just Ducky Floating Tea Infuser is also available from Amazon.

I love how it floats and the little base that looks like water to set it in when you are finished.  Why not have a little fun making your next cup of tea!

Tylenol Blog Tour

Share
As a parent it is always concerning when my children are sick.  I want to do what is best for them and that includes the giving them the proper medicine. That often means giving my kids TYLENOL.  I know that the makers of TYLENOL  have had their problems lately, and you may not find their products on the store shelves, but I believe that they are back on the right track  and have come out with improved products.
By the time Cold and  Flu season hits you will see a new and improved TYLENOL hit the store shelves.  You can go here to check out the new product enhancements that are coming to Infant and Children's TYLENOL.  Dosing amounts will also change so you will want to be sure to always read the label for dosing. Infants’ TYLENOL will include a new, enhanced bottle with a protective opening and push-in syringe which will
  •  Provide even better dosing accuracy and ease of administration to infants
  •  Allow for better control when dispensing the medication and reduce spillage
  •   Further reduce the risk of children being able to get to the medicine in the bottle

They will also be introducing enhanced bottles with the protective opening on Children’s TYLENOL products. It will make it more difficult for children to get into the medicine bottle.

Infants’ TYLENOL will have the same concentration of the active ingredient, acetaminophen, as Children’s TYLENOL which will standardize dosing across our products and age groups.  The makers of TYLENOL have been working closely with other manufacturers of pediatric acetaminophen products to encourage an industry wide transition to one concentration across infants’ and children’s acetaminophen products.

Be looking for the changes on your store shelves soon.  Until then you can get a $1 off  coupon here for TYLENOL products.

TYLENOL has some very helpful tips  for giving medicines to infants and children:

Simply remember to NURSE
  • Never give adult medicines to children.
  • Use the measuring device (syringe, dropper, dosage cup) that comes with the medicine every time you use it. Don’t use kitchen spoons (teaspoons or tablespoons).
  • Read and follow instructions on the label. Never give more than the recommended dose and do not give the medication more frequently than recommended.
  • Store all medicines out of the reach of children. Immediately following use, always restore the child resistant cap and put the medicine back into a high and out of sight location.
  • Every child grows. Know the infant’s or child’s weight and/or age to help determine the appropriate dosage.
“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Tylenol and received a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.”

Nutella Mommy Party

Share

I became aware of Nutella many years ago when I was in college.  It became on of my favorite snack items so when I was picked to host a MommyParties to host a Nutella party I was so excited.

Having sick kids in my house for several weeks I decided I would take my party instead to my ladies group at church.  They were so excited to get a unexpected gift and most were so excited to try the Nutella. I told them it would make a great spread for their morning bagels and English muffins.

I always new that I loved Nutella as a snack but I never considered it as a good breakfast option for me or my kids.  I have actually convinced my daughter she can eat whole wheat English muffins for breakfast. She can't believe I will let her have Nutella for breakfast.

When used in moderation with complementary foods, Nutella can be a part of a balanced meal. It is a quick and easy way to encourage kids to eat whole grains, such as whole wheat toast, English muffins, toaster waffles and bagels. With the unique taste of Nutella®, kids may think they are eating a treat for breakfast while  we as moms are helping nourish their children with whole grains.

We as moms need to remember how important breakfast is for our children. A 2005 article summarized the results of over 30 studies on breakfast consumption by children and adolescents and its relationship with nutritional adequacy and academic performance. The study revealed the following:

* Kids who eat breakfast are more likely to meet their nutrient intake recommendations over the course of the day than their breakfast-skipping peers.
* Eating breakfast may positively benefit cognitive function related to memory, academic performance and school attendance.
* Skipping breakfast has been linked to increased snacking during the day or higher intake of high fat snacks.

We are so excited to make Nutella part of our breakfast and to help you get excited make sure you go here to get a $1 coupon of a Nutella purchase.
